Two cinema-inspired souls met ten years ago in photography college. Probably the smartest decision we ever made - signing up for that school.

Back then we were just two students with cameras, too many ideas, and absolutely no idea where life would take us. Somewhere between darkrooms, assignments, and long conversations about photographs and life, we started noticing each other.

Somewhere along the way we stopped being just two photography students and became something more.

Mateo found his rhythm in cinema and photojournalism - real stories, real people. Justina was deep in the world of fashion, photographing models, directing shoots, chasing light, mood, and beautiful chaos.

Since then we’ve done what people with cameras and curiosity tend to do - we wandered. Barcelona happened. America happened. Twice we spent entire summers drifting across the U.S., chasing sunsets and endless hikes. Mexico joined the story too. Photography was always there with us. Always.

At some point we landed in the UK. Funny enough, the first wedding we photographed wasn’t there - it was back home in Lithuania.

Then came the big question: go back to the UK, or stay?

We stayed.

And that’s how Pines and Wines was born - somewhere between a glass of wine, a long conversation, and the realisation that weddings deserve photographs that actually feel like the day.
